I've been doing some testing on Tiger and for some reason my StartupItems are no longer loading. I've poked around a bit, but haven't been able to find any clear information about what's changed/changing. I ran across this link: <http://lists.apple.com/archives/coreaudio-api/2004/Nov/msg00215.html> claiming that privileges had been tightened up (and it's about time!), but that didn't solve my problem. Also, this message claims that all files need to be set to 755. I'd followed apple's lead, and set the binary to 755 and the StaartupParameters file to 644 (everything root:wheel of course).
