[] The relevant files are all in /usr/share/man, yes. But there being thousands of them, it is hard to say which ones might have been updated in the meantime. You could run Gary Kerbaugh's pkgdiff script http://www.chemistry.ucsc.edu/%7Ewgscott/xtal/pkgdiff.html to compare your package installation receipts in /Library/Receipts with what you have on your disk.
