Sadly, in more than 5 years, not much has happened with his request...
It's neat in theory, but fundamentally, "multiple files with the same name" breaks assumptions in a huge amount of code. I've seen more OS X bugs to do with resource fork handling *just in OS X* than I've seen filesystem bugs in every other UNIX I've used, put together. Me, I just wish the people at Apple, way back when, had just made resource files be a Kind Of File, rather than introduced forks; sooooo much time has gone into "and then on a Mac, sometimes there's more than one file with a single name, so no existing API can read files portably". -s _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list.
