Digital Voltage Scaling (PowerTune)

I am interested in exploiting the PowerTune capabilities of the new G5 in Xserve, iMacs, etc. Linux provides access to these capabilities via a kernel module (cpufreq). I have Googled the topic and I haven't found any Digital Voltage Scaling (DVS) implementations for Darwin/OS X. I'd like to know if anyone is interested in working on it. My research group (http://scape.cse.sc.edu) has done work work with the Linux implementations of DVS. I don't know if this is something that belongs in the kernel as a driver or as a command line utility of some sort. I'd really like to see a Darwin implementation that parallels the cpufreq implementation (they use sysfs for a userspace interface) for cross-platform compatibility.
