What project is the kernel variable kern.maxproperuid assigned in ? Specifically, which version of Darwin did this variable first appear ? 10.3.2 ? Or later ? I'm currently at 10.2.8 where this variable apparently is not yet defined. I have the discs for 10.3.2 and wanted to know if I upgrade to 10.3.2 will that get me this variable. Kernel sysctl variables are, surprisingly, in the kernel. The kernel project is 'xnu' (somewhat more surprisingly). I can't begin to guess when this variable showed up, but it should not take long to track it down; the source is on-line at the Apple developer's website (follow the darwin link).
