My guess is that you failed to install the full set of SDKs, which is where the header files are packaged for distribution. For tty's, you'd be better off treating the structure as opaquely as possible, and letting the system handled the line discipline (see xnu/ bsd/kern/tty.c for tty canonical processing; you can get the sources from <http://OpenDarwin.org> if you need to inspect them; the implementation of pty's, which are a client of the tty canonical processing, are at xnu/bsd/kern/tty_pty.c at the same location). If you are interested, you can grab the following tarball "ftp.cis.uoguelph.ca:/pub/nfsv4/darwin-port/xnu-client.tar.gz" and look at the file called Install in it. btw: It seems to work fine for a PPC Mac, but not an Intel one. You can build a kernel from sources that runs on Darwin8.0.1 x86 on a generic P4. This one's easy, since all the build tools are installed when you install Darwin8.0.1 off the iso cd. So it's one kext with a bunch of entry points, two structs and two signatures. You do call sflt_register twice within the start. In my usage, I also have separate signatures so that I can register for (and differentiate between) IPv4 and IPv6 calls, so I actually have <four>. Regards.....Peter Thanks for your reply.
