IGMP (v3) older version querier timer on OSX

* I didn’t see my first attempt at posting show up on the archive - so sending again... FYI - I first posted this on NANOG but someone recommended I try posting here... I’m trying to figure out how OSX is behaving with regard to downgrading sent IGMP messages in the presence of “older” queriers. I.e. if a query is heard from a router (querier) that is v2, start a timer and only speak (IGMP) in v2 until it expires. From the definitions I’ve found of how to calculate this timer - that should be 260 seconds. After this time, assuming we haven’t heard any further v2 queries - we can start speaking v3 again. From my testing (using 10.9 Mavericks and the newest VLC) - this doesn’t happen. From the network side, I’m using a Cisco 3750 with snooping and querier turned on (i.e. not a real mcast router). If I turn these off and reboot, VLC causes IGMP v3 to be sent. If I turn querier back on on my switch - OSX drops down to IGMP v2. It just never seems to bounce back to v3. I think I waited ~ 10 minutes on my last test, and it was still v2. lldb commands not working

I am trying to debug a panic dump on OS X 10.10 (14A389) with 10.10 - 14A389 KDK. pacemaker in 10.10

In 10.9 there was this nice pacemaker daemon (keeping the clock in sync). In 10.10: /private/var/db/ntp.drift exists and has plausible value -rw-r--r--@ 1 root wheel 8 21 Oct 17:29 /private/var/db/ntp.drift cat /private/var/db/ntp.drift -26.396 -rwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 24720 10 Sep 06:27 /usr/libexec/pacemaker* -rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 217 10 Sep 06:27 /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.pacemaker.plist all looks good, but pacemaker won't run. In this respect, this is just to warn you that the version you have merged is buggy. You can find all the details about these bugs and their fixes in some related threads on lkml. In particular, I fixed most of the bugs that are still present in your version (and those fixes have been committed in Linux). I did not propose at all a few other fixes, because in the meanwhile qfq was replaced by qfq+, my faster variant of qfq.
