Dear List Members I know that this has been discussed here before, but I don't find the information's. I apologize! I'm trying to compile the os x kernel in order to use ktrace, but I don't understand the several information: I use: setenv CVSROOT :pserver:anonymous@anoncvs.opendarwin.org:/Volumes/src/cvs/Apple There seem to be several CVS servers. Which one is the right one? I use uname -a to get the xnu name, but when I do: cvs co -r xnu-201.42.3 xnu I get the message: Protocol error: uncounted data discarded The only kernel I can check out is xnu-10. How do I know if this kernel works on my system? Furthermore I would like to know where I have to change the config of the kernel to be able to use ktrace. I'm sorry if this is off topic and I'm sorry that I'm bloody such a newbie, but I would really like to use ktrace! Thanks for your Help!
