Depends on what you want to do with the space. If you want to use it as a buffer that can be used on hardware then the easiest thing is to use IOBufferMemoryDescriptor. I am new to Mach kernel programming and want to allocate some space in memory in my kext which is a sample filter driver. Can anybody tell me the API to do the same?
