This is the kind of comment which usually provokes the question: 'What are you trying to do?' :) I'm still curious about the reasoning though, it's definitely a very odd thing to want to do. To make things more difficult for the OP, I should note that the currently- running kext may not have been loaded from a path that means anything to the app asking.
