I wrote a little test program to give me information about my computer and it returns me the wrong information. I'm using Yosemite 10.10.5 and have a 3.7ghz Quad Core Xeon E5 MacPro When I call NxGetLocalArchInfo it populates a structure. When I print out the contents of the structure it tells me its a i486, cpu: 7, subtype: 4 Intel 80486 ======== When I dig into the header files, I see compiler flags there that are defined for Xeon etc When I do the menu Apple | About this mac it tells me the processor is defined as 3.7 ghz Quad Core Xeon E5 MacPro Is NxGetLocalArchInfo broken? Or am I supposed to be using a different function? I tried googling and didn't manage to find anything of value and when I looked it up in my xcode help i found no dox.
