I've been working on a Sound driver (extension of AppleUSBAudio) today, and in the process of copying my new .kext in and out I've managed to somehow mess things up with my SysPrefs. Earlier today I got an error while trying to select the "Sound" pref panel (to select my device). The exact error from System Preferences application was "PREFERENCES ERROR - could not load 'Sound'". I don't know what I may have done to corrupt things, but the same message now appears when I try to select the Display pane as well. Does anyone know what I might have touched, or what plist might be corrupting things? I have a feeling that in the process of getting my device playing correctly with the system, something has been added to a .plist (IORegistry?) that crashes the Sound panel, and the Display panel too, for some reason. -- j. -- Jay Vaughan _______________________________________________ darwin-kernel mailing list | darwin-kernel@lists.apple.com Help/Unsubscribe/Archives: http://www.lists.apple.com/mailman/listinfo/darwin-kernel Do not post admin requests to the list.
