Best, Alexander The System extension was installed improperly and cannot be used. Please try ireinstalling it, Can someone tell me what to do. Ok, well then I might as well ignore package maker all together and just call the shell script directly. Bummer. To properly install KEXT just install it to any temporary location, then using postinstall/postupgrade script just fix KEXT files permissions and ownership and them move entire KEXT bundle to /S/L/E folder using "mv" command. That will always work correctly. -----Original Message----- From: darwin-kernel-bounces+klax=musiclab.com@lists.apple.com [mailto:darwin-kernel-bounces+klax=musiclab.com@lists.apple.com] On Behalf Of Jonathan Lott Sent: March 4, 2010 9:22 AM To: darwin-kernel@lists.apple.com Subject: PackageMaker 3.0.4 and Installing Kexts For some reason when I create a package to install a kext, when testing it out in the command line I get the following message: I have made sure that the permissions were set properly in the packagemaker doc, but it seems that when it is installed, these priveleges aren't being set during the install.
