It's more complicated than that, but please bear in mind that this is a mailing list for questions and discussion regarding the Darwin kernel, not Windows applications. You would be best off raising the issue with Acronis, or any of their competitors. Duane, Intel Macs do not use the legacy Master Boot Record, they use the GUID Parition Table scheme. EFI uses GPT where BIOS uses a Master Boot Record (MBR). Acronis's problem is that it does not support the GUID partition format. The Acronis backup program will not run on a MacBook Pro which is running Windows. I believe the problem is due to the fact that Bootcamp does not use the legacy Master Boot Record.
