Re: Latest version available of xnu/ppc?
Lion is the last version to support ppc, which you have already identified. Debug symbols are available in the kernel debug kit available from connect.apple.com Sent from my iPhone On Nov 21, 2012, at 11:20 AM, Vincent Habchi <vince@macports.org> wrote:
Hi folks,
sorry if this question seems naive or preposterous.
I need a feature added in MacOS 10.6 (i.e. the ability to add a default gateway per interface) on PPC MacPro (therefore commercially stuck to 10.5.8). I was thinking about compiling a xnu kernel > 1228.15.4, but I have no clue if it is possible, and, if yes, what is the latest xnu kernel compilable for ppc.
If this is not feasible, then I have two solutions:
- compile a 1228.15.4 kernel with debug symbols and see why ipfw does not work properly; - switch to Free- or NetBSD/ppc.
Any info would be very much appreciated…
