I'm trying to run a serial console on a Dual G4 800 running OS X 10.1 Can anybody help? Openfirmware will use a serial console, however I don't know how to make Darwin use one. I've tried pulling the keyboard, and the video card. Pulling the video card just causes Darwin not to boot.. Is it even possible to get Darwin to use a serial console? I see what looks like code for console selection, but I have no idea how it gets called. I'm guessing that a serial console driver needs to call IOPlatformExpert::setConsoleInfo(), but I have no idea what that serial console driver might be called. I can't even get a getty going on the serial port.
