It has built-in Airport, which I just turned off via the system menu. No problems at all. Just had to go grab the Intel Kernel SDK. No more sudden death and no loud fans problems. I'm happy. Thanks to everyone who gave feedback. Of course, if I didn't have another machine as an option, this would be a pretty nasty roadblock.
