I've not tried to build anything in the Darwin project for over a year,

haven't really looked into finding some alternative method.

before IOKit was blessed upon us. Since then even trying to compile that

has left off with missing

libraries, or misplaced headers, or makefiles that are broken in some

way or another.

Huh? Both xnu-201.19 and xnu-222 built _very_ easily for me (on my Mac OS X 10.1.3 system). I'm not sure why people are having problems. (Obviously, trying to build 'newer' kernels is usually harder because of all the possible dependencies on other things being updated as well). -- Daniel J.
