a followup on my post below...check this screenshot:

even though i have the apple finder set to show all extensions AND even though the get-info window shows the *.localized suffix in the filename, the finder does not show the *.localized suffix. even if i use the unix path to ensure the pkg installs to the path including *.localized suffix, the plugins show up un-bundled (broken). i submitted an apple bug report (5240367).

i'm having a difficult time packaging up two drag-installable plugins
for adobe indesign cs2 and adobe illustrator cs2. the plugins can be
downloaded here:
has anyone else had this problem? it's driving me mad! :) i know, i
know...why not cs3? well, it's too soon...once it matures we'll test
and roll out. for now, i need to get these two simple drag-installable
plugins out to our users.
if anyone is interested, i've uploaded a zip'd archive of my project
folder (total size is about 400k):
what am i doing wrong?

One solution could be to have 2 packages and 1 meta-package:
You can check the architecture with the arch(1) command line tool.
It would be wise to check which values is returned on a 64-bit Mac.

Each package would have an InstallationCheck script that would return
an error (64) if the architecture is not the correct one.
I want to be able to check a machine for Intel or PPC then install the
appropriate binary (I know…should be universal….not my binary)….how do
I make that check?

i'm having a difficult time packaging up two drag-installable plugins for adobe indesign cs2 and adobe illustrator cs2. the plugins can be downloaded here:
http://dl.extensis.com/downloads/SC/EN/M/IllCS2_SuitcaseX1.ziphttp://dl.extensis.com/downloads/SC/EN/M/SC_InDesign_1104.zip
the target computers are running 10.4.8. the paths are as follows:
/Applications/Adobe\ InDesign\ CS2/Plug-Ins/SCAutoActivation.framework
/Applications/Adobe\ Illustrator\ CS2/Plug-ins.localized/Extensions.localized/Suitcase\ Auto-Activation\ X.aip
not that on the illustrator plugin, the finder INSISTS on hiding the *.localized extensions on the Plug-Ins and Extensions folders DISPITE my setting my finder to ALWAYS show file extensions. my first attempts to package these two simple plugins were spoiled by this problem...but i was able to get the correct paths. however, when i push the package to workstations, the packages unwind (they lose their extensis icons and end up as wide open packages (as if we chose to "view package contents").
