Then have your payload install its files "inside" the symbolic path. In your preinstall script, you create a symbolic link in /private/ tmp/ named mysymlink that points to /A/B/C/D Is there a way to specify the destination location inside the preinstall script instead of giving the destination location path in pmdoc? My preinstall script needs to run some logic and dynamically choose a location where installation is to occur. Any way to do this? Currently the installation is occurring in a temporary area and a postinstall script is copying them to proper location.
