So this explains why the runtime can't find a method with that name for a PMCLIFakeDocument instance. This method is probably being called by [PMPackageReferenceModel(Private) askAboutRequirements] [PMPackageReferenceModel(Private) askAboutRequirements] is called by PMPackageReferenceModel setParent:] with a delay (the reason for the __NSFireDelayedPerform call) Anyway, you may have some requirements in your package projects which are triggering this issue (eventually the code in PackageMaker does not check that it's being run from the command line to avoid displaying an alert). packagemaker cmd line crashing

The package contains 1 app and 1 .pkg file from another company. When i go and build it ( from cmd line ), i get the following crash, any ideas how to fix this? Modifying Installer wording

site_archiver(a)lists.apple.com Delivered-To: installer-dev(a)lists.apple.com I realise this is probably a long shot, but here goes: I have a request from one of our overseas distributors to change one of the strings used by the Installer app. For some reason, they want to change the equivalent of "Software License Agreement" on the License panel with something different. This string is declared in Licence.bundle as: "PageTitle" = "Software License Agreement"; I have scoured the various documentation and although its easy to provide your own license text, actually changing what the installer displays for this string does not seem possible. So my questions are: 1. Is there an easy way to do this? 2. If the answer to 1 is no, then is there a hard way to do this? I am guessing maybe doing my own plugin for the license page, but that seems a heck of a lot of work for a simple string change. I did not look there earlier as it was the same .pmdoc I have been using for months and I never set the Allow Relocation flag. Searching "BundleRelocation" found only this message. Searching "Diverting" got results but there is no answer as to what causes the diversion and how to override it. I built a .mpkg to install my app. Have been doing this for years. While I was *able* to get my daemons and agents to launch reliably, it took me several tries to get scripts correct enough that it would work for command line, ARD, and GUI installation for a local system volume only. Rebooting in testing will also help you find problems your daemon might have after installation. For example, StartupItems would let you create dependencies, but launchd doesn't do that. So if you have a dependency on network being available, you might find your daemon needs to be able to determine if the network is available before doing other things. (A problem I still need to solve part of, *sigh*) Karl, do you have any tips on setting up the dev machines for this sort of package? By this I mean, if my package rebooted my computer every time I tested it, it would increase my downtime for testing script changes. I run the scripts individually as much as I can before running them as part of a package, but that is about it.
