Push a second pane?

Hi all, thanks for the great answers and help to all my questions! I have one last item I need to figure out and then I think my installer is complete. From looking at the InstallerPane header file, there's a nextPane that seems to imply I can dynamically add a pane. What's the right way to set that up? I've added a second InstallerPane class to my project, and a second xib file. I only want that pane to show based on certain conditions as determined by the first pane that I display. Apple's Installer is not designed to do that. The general design idea is that the user's system is NOT changed until the user clicks "Install." (Of course, there are a few loopholes, but please, please do not violate the idea.) Hi, I'm using Packages to build my installer, and I'm finding the need to run a command, *as root*, before the GUI runs. Specifically when my custom installer screen is run I need to already have postgres running on the system, and so I need something to run a 'serveradmin start postgres' command with root privs. The installer doesn't ask for the root password until the actual install step it seems. Cancel movement in willExitPane:

I need to do some validation of the input data in an installer pane, but I don't want the user to have to click any type of validate button. it's also an expensive operation, so I only want to do it once, thus in willExitPane. However, if it fails, then I don't want them to have actually moved onto the next screen. Due to the reasons listed I can't put this in shouldExitPane: Is there a way inside of willExitPane: to actually stop the pane from being left? _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list. Multiple panels in PackageMaker plugin

In my current plugin I've got the single panel object the template created for me. From looking at the meager documentation it seems like I should actually be able to place a second panel right inside this project. Is that true, or do I have to create a separate plugin project to have another panel during the installer? If I can, would somebody please help me understand the exact steps I need to go through?
