site_archiver@lists.apple.com Delivered-To: installer-dev@lists.apple.com I've given up on PackageMaker, and switched over to using Iceberg instead, to build my metapackage with. However, I've got this problem that Iceberg occasionally hangs when I tell it to "Build". It's not stuck; I can still do things with the app, it's just that the build doesn't progress. No idea why -- there appear to be no Iceberg log files or error messages, but I do notice in the console log that the automounter seems to be enumerating all possible mount points -- don't know if Iceberg is causing that. We run in a big NFS environment, with the special NIS map for the Apple automounter, and hundreds of mount points, so scanning all mount points is an expensive operation. In any case, after the scan completes, the build still doesn't make any progress, so I don't know if that has any relevance. I've been able to clear this "hang" state once, by re-starting Iceberg, but now I'm stuck again, and this time even re-booting the machine doesn't seem to help. Anyone know of Iceberg log files or other things I could inspect for more info? Iceberg 1.2.4 on Intel OS X 10.5.5.
