Furthermore, this isn't JavaScript + DOM like in a web browser. There are no DOM methods available in the installer's JavaScript sandbox. Instead, there are a small number of utility functions available under the global 'system' object. I understand the distinction, the language's peculiar notions of scope and closures-over-classes flavor of OOP are just not something I generally expect (or want) to have to deal with any more often than I absolutely have to, and it seemed an odd choice unless security driven.
