I wish I could tell you why -- My PackageMaker 3 seems to usually do it. No matter how firmly and determinedly I check "Allow Custom Location" it just bloody doesn't. I'm getting really frustrated by it, because without the custom location I don't seem to be getting anything in my second script argument for Postinstall and I'm trying to build something that's able to install derived content without containing the original copyrighted work (sort of like patching, except in 3D, actually, it's a long story). Anyway everything was working fine except $ARGV[1] was being empty, and I discovered that it wasn't actually USING a custom install location, even though I told it to, and so I wasn't able to read the deltas (just think of it like a diff) file becsause Perl had no clue where it was and... This is just a total mess... I figure if I check "allow custom location" a freaking custom location should be allowed, but my installers just have Package Name | Action | Size -- and the little directory selector that's supposed to be there just plain ain't. Unfortunately I don't have access to old versions because I just got this. And... *sigh* Sorry for rambling but I've been driven nuts for three and a half hours trying to make this do what it advertises. -- Dodger _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list.
