Has anyone ever run into a problem with the install deleting files on Leopard? I have an install which updates one file of 5 that were installed in a prior install. The initial install installed system files for an application - some going to /etc, others going to folders within /Library (Preferences, Preference Panes & Startup). The update is updating only the one file in the /etc - but when it is run on Leopard only it seems to be deleting all of the files from the initial install. Tiger and Panther correctly overwrite the /etc file and leave all of the others alone. I can't figure out how/why an install is deleting files not included in the pkg! otherwise Installer.app might thing this is the original installer and will accordingly delete files that have been previously installed if they are missing in the new package.
