I have no idea what's going on here, but when I build installers for this product, the popup that says "You need to accept this license to continue" is in the wrong language. There is no rhyme or reason to it.
To be clear, the package is built from the command line, with no pmdoc file. Translations are handled via lproj directories under the "resources" dir.
Here are three screenshots:
a) System set to French, popup in Japanese http://imgur.com/THDD.png
b) System set to German, popup in French http://imgur.com/THG5.png
c) System set to Italian, popup in Spanish http://imgur.com/THLP.png
English works fine
Has anyone experienced this? Is it something I'm doing wrong? Considering this is a built-in popup I have no control over, I don't even know where to start.
Additional information that is relevant: The drop down on the license screen lists the following languages in this order: English Japanese French German Spanish Italian Portuguese Dutch On initial view of the license screen, the proper license text is displayed, but the popup is in the wrong language. The popup, actually, is in the language BEFORE it in the list above. Changing languages and then going back (i.e. French->Italian->French) produces the license text in the previous language as well (Japanese in the previous example). It appears that selecting the "English" item always gives the license text in the language of the original system. That is, if the system is set to German, the first entry is German, though it says English. To me, it looks as though the system default is pushed on the top of the list, and the TEXT itself is not updated. So "French" gets pushed on top of the list (where English is) and all the rest slide down. Does anyone know how to work around this? Is there something I'm missing? Remember, this is NOT created via the GUI, but with command line args and a "Resources" directory. Considering the resources directory has been around since 10.3, is it possible something was missed in conversion relating to localization? _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list.
