iirc (correct me if im wrong), mpkg are seen as a folder on windows/unix systems, so ill recommend .dmg to prevent things like "thumbs.db" creation inside your installer :P On Fri, Jun 15, 2012 at 10:34 AM, Swaroop Bhola <sbhola@quark.com> wrote:
Hi,
We are in the process of creating a flat installer. We had a bundle based installer earlier so while shipping it we used to make a dmg to ensure that it doesn’t get corrupt while downloading. Do we need to deliver the flat package as a dmg or can we directly ship/upload flat mpkg installer? What are the pros and cons for both?
Thanks,
Swaroop
