I've managed to fix this issue, or at least find workarounds for it. There appear to be a few bugs in PackageMaker where things will fail unless the name of the pkg file and the pmdoc file are exactly the same, and you need to build the package into the same directory as the pmdoc file otherwise it will fail. So this works: $ /Developer/usr/bin/packagemaker -v --doc blah.pmdoc -p blah.pkg -i com.blah but this doesn't: $ /Developer/usr/bin/packagemaker -v --doc blah.pmdoc -p "blah version 1".pkg -i com.blah nor this: $ /Developer/usr/bin/packagemaker -v --doc blah.pmdoc -p Build/blah.pkg -i com.blah Filed as radar *_6678946_* <https://bugreport.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/RadarWeb.woa/95/wo/AIu5D3Jk288uKgommBKgfw/8.34> This email sent to site_archiver@lists.apple.com
