I was under the assumption that third-party unstallers typically used these receipts for removing apps. However, recently (after setting up a new machine and running various installers) I've noticed that I had essentially no receipts left behind. Have receipts been deprecated? Or do developers just intentionally not leave the receipts behind to make it harder to remove there software? Or are there other reasons one might choose not to leave a receipt behind in the receipts folder? Just curious, and would appreciate knowing whats going on. Thanks.
