Stephane, thank you. I had found the "Group" and "Merge" in the "Presentation/Installation Type". What is the difference between Group and Merge, and what is more suitable for my task (Standard Install only, no user choice, I only need to set the order of packages installed)? Thank you very much. -- Sincerely, Rustam Muginov On Mar 6, 2013, at 12:28 AM, Stephane Sudre wrote:

Hello all. I am using Stephane Sudre's Packages to create installer with several "parts" or "payloads" (Application, Applications Support e.t.c. Am I right that they always installed in the order they are created? Are where any way to change the order of installation?
For distributions, the order in which packages are installed is determined by the hierarchy of choices ("visible" in the Installation Type pane) and the selected state of the choices. There's potentially an exception to this rule if you are using remote packages.
When you add a package to a distribution project in Packages, the new package is appended to the end of the hierarchy, so yes, they will be installed in the order they are created. But then you can change the hierarchy in the Project > Presentation > Installation Type pane to have the hierarchy (and so order of installation) you want. _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list.
