But once the user drags it to /Applications, it will be owned by the user. Interestingly, though, most of the drag-installed apps I have have 755 permissions. The Installer-installed ones are mostly 775, but some are 755. All of the Apple-created apps are 775. 755 root/wheel. 775 root/admin This email sent to site_archiver@lists.apple.com
