What kind of file is this?
These files are two sqlite files (pi_dat.rsd and settings.rsd) These sqlite files are made with REALbasic on a mac and are simple
sqlite databases as single files.
These 2 files should be copied in a new folder with the name for
example: my_folder. This new folder should be created in the "documents folder of the
"current user" (important)
It will help to get the right answer if you say what the file is for. If it is a user preferences file, then I think many people here can
tell you the right way to do it.
Please give the name of the installer you use.
I use Packages 1.0.2
Thank you very much for your help!!!!
Greetings
Burkhard I do not know this answer in enough detail without trying to do it myself. You replied only to me, but please in the future reply to the installer-dev mailing list so that others who are more familiar can also reply. What happens if a user who did not install the program tries to use the program? Does the program fail because the different user does not have the SQLITE files in his documents folder? The name 'settings.rsd' does sound like a user preferences file to me. I think your program should make or copy this file the first time any user runs the program. This way any user can have the SQLITE files created, not only the installing user. You also needn't install again if the user deletes these files. Please, I hope others will speak to the correct behavior. Xo
