Hello All,
I am using PackageMaker in my installer to generate my corresponding
.pkg file. I want that only "Admin" user can install using this
installer that's why I need to prompt to alert message if any one
can install through standard/normal user. I am using snow leopard and I want to do this by using packagemaker. Can any one help on this ?
-Kundan I believe that selecting "Require Admin Authentication" will do what you want. In the Contents section on the left you should see a disclosure triangle next to each "choice". Disclose the contents of that choice, then select the folder or item. In the "Configuration" tab on the right, you will find close to the bottom a checkbox for "Require admin authentication". You have to check this for all packages that you want the admin authentication to be required for. For example, if a user picks only a couple of choices, then you need to make sure that you see the authentication box for any choices that are appropriate.
