Re: Signing Installer Package
When I tested using an external package (either local or downloaded from a http server), I never had any success with signing. Even when using the same certificate(s). I'm not sure this is supported. On Tue, Oct 22, 2013 at 8:30 PM, Raphael Oliveira <raphael.cps@gmail.com> wrote:
Hi,
I'm trying to sign an installer package (flat format) to be distributed and not blocked by Gatekeeper.
If I build a simple .pkg and sign it, It can be installed without problem. If I include a reference to an external package (Custom Path / HTTP URL), it doesn't work. Mac says the file is damaged and can't be opened, but if Gatekeeper is off, it works. In the actual case, the installer uses "Custom Path", but when the installation is starting, it has no files on the pointed directory. They are downloaded by an installer plugin.

Anyone knows why it happens? Is there a solution?
Thanks in advance, Raphael
