RE: Uninstaller for Mac OSX Application
site_archiver@lists.apple.com Delivered-To: installer-dev@lists.apple.com Thread-index: AcgH7/Pn62Wa3+H2QEGaM9QE4JwCIAB7fL0g Thread-topic: Uninstaller for Mac OSX Application The LANRev InstallEase application creates an Apple .pkg file, an Apple uninstaller .pkg file, and can also create a DMG with your files, and an Iceberg project file which also copies your files into a source folder. The Uninstaller is a dummy .pkg file with a shell script that removes everything that was put into the installer. I have not had time to look at it, but in concept, it does it for you. The InstallEase application comes as part of the LANRev package and is not sold separately that I am aware of. Macenterprise has a webcast featuring the LANRev product. -Mike -----Original Message----- From: installer-dev-bounces+perbix=lmsd.org@lists.apple.com [mailto:installer-dev-bounces+perbix=lmsd.org@lists.apple.com] On Behalf Of Stéphane Sudre Sent: Saturday, October 06, 2007 4:06 AM To: installer-dev@lists.apple.com Subject: Re: Uninstaller for Mac OSX Application On samedi, octobre 6, 2007, at 07:54 AM, JanakiRam wrote:
Hi Mike,
We have tried this option to place my shell script in postflight script. But the problem is , Package Maker UI first Screen shows the following Title.
Welcome MyApp Installer.
MyApp string only can be modified. There is no way to change the Installer String.
If you have some technique to solve this , please let us know.
If you really need to have an Installer look & feel with some customizations and less panes, a solution could be to write a "fake" Uninstaller application. You can find the basis for the look & feel here: http://s.sudre.free.fr/Software/AssistantKit.html _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list.
