I'm in the process of turning one of our server apps into a proper daemon using launchctl. I have a couple of newbie daemon installer questions though! (1) Where is the best place to install my daemon application package? I'm currently thinking /Library/Application Support. This is a bundled app rather than a unix-type executable. (2) I need to create a UID to run my daemon under, what is the best way of going about this? Should I just do it from my installer postflight script?
