Re: Installer: Works on Tiger, Not on Panther
site_archiver@lists.apple.com Delivered-To: installer-dev@lists.apple.com On Tiger, the top level application is correctly stored as MyName.app. Any ideas on what to do? Anyone else encountered this before? I'm pretty sure that the package flag is not required on Mac OS X; if it's a directory with the right stuff in it to be a bundle, the Finder will show it as a package. After installation, does the application bundle contain everything it's supposed to? Turns out that on Panther, the .app part of the folder name is dropped! When I add .app to the folder name, it changes into an application. This email sent to site_archiver@lists.apple.com
