Installer-dev mailing list (Installer-dev@lists.apple.com) Help/Unsubscribe/Update your Subscription: http://lists.apple.com/mailman/options/installer-dev/site_archiver%40lists.a... I try to do an installer in package maker. If there is an certain application installed on the system, I want to install my package. If this app is not on the disk, no install. So I did a new choice and in the tab requirments, I've added a requirment "File Exists on Target" and liked to the actuall app. But when I run the installer, the choise is never enabled, even is the app is in fact on the system. So I've tried so link to the actuall executable (app.app/content/ Mac OS/app) with no luck. I've just tried a "File Exists on Target" requirements and I've seen the following bugs in PackageMaker: - Bug #1: If you change the path, it's not taken into account sometimes when building the package. - Bug #2: If you change the Pass If condition in the Requirements list from true to false, the resulting script is not modified. - Enh #1: When you select the path, the validate button should be labeled "Choose" instead of "Open". It's just that you can't create a "If File does not exist on Target requirement" with PackageMaker. You would need to edit the script manually (which is honestly the only reasonable way to do it with PackageMaker 3.x). This email sent to site_archiver@lists.apple.com
