* Sometimes NAME of packages stored in Receipts folder do not correspond to signature of package I specify. For example, I specify
package ident: com.paradigmasoft.vserver_office_startupitems.pkg
And for second com.paradigmasoft.vserver_office.pkg
But into Receipts it go just as startupitems.pkg vserveroffice.pkg <<<< yes without underscore "_"
How this can be??? I have check XML files, they contain MY names. Why into Receipts folder go this file names ???
May be it somehow go from my previous attempts? But where is stored this info to cleanup It then ?
Okay, one more step future. I have change package idents to be as gggggggggggg dddddddddddddd Run installer, and Hmm, now Receipts folder DO NOT have packages at all, And I see that Receipts/db (I assume SqlLite db) has just only changed time. So RESUME IS: * OS X try to be very smart. * it probably corresponds somehow my totally new package to old one and do ANOTHER job, comparing to case when it cannot correspond them. Strange is that this is not described in any docs. Strange is that I cannot cleanup this. So it seems I need invent new signature. May be I will use com.paradigmasoft.vserver_office_3_6.pkg Although I think this is not best idea to use version here. -- Best regards, Ruslan Zasukhin VP Engineering and New Technology Paradigma Software, Inc Valentina - Joining Worlds of Information http://www.paradigmasoft.com [I feel the need: the need for speed] _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list.
