packagemaker doesn't work

But it doesn't work. All I get, with any invocation, is: "The package could not be created because of the following errors:" with absolutely nothing between the above error and the terminal prompt. What gives? How am I supposed to know what to fix if it doesn't tell me what it thinks is wrong??
