Signing of packages and installation failures.
Hi ALL, I have a question regarding signing. on Mac OS X 10.6.8 has failed with the following error: Sep 7 06:39:10 mac-studiothree Installer[7554]: Failed install preflight: Error Domain=PKInstallErrorDomain Code=102 UserInfo=0x10035e750 "The package MyPackage.pkg is untrusted." Underlying Error=(Error Domain=NSOSStatusErrorDomain Code=-2147409622 UserInfo=0x1171021e0 "The operation couldn't be completed. CSSMERR_TP_NOT_TRUSTED") it occurs, on others it doesn't. Is there any difference in signing with PackageMaker and productsign tools? Thanks in advance, Alexander _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list. This email sent to site_archiver@lists.apple.com I build packages using PackageMaker on Mac OS X 10.6.8. Because productsign tool is not available, I sign packages using PackageMaker's -sign option. I tested packages signed with PackageMaker on SL, L and ML. Everything looked OK. But recently I faced a problem, when installation of a package I googled regarding that and figured out - same issue occurs very often with various packages on Mac OS X 10.6.x. But the issue is not 100% reproducible. On some OS installations Could anybody explain, what is the cause of this issue? Is this problem related to signing?
