I think that option takes part in the weird behavior. I think the PackageMaker is not polished on that feature yet, though. -------- Original Message -------- Subject: Re: PackageMaker 3.0.3 and the receipt DB Date: Wed, 17 Sep 2008 22:52:36 +0100 From: Robert Claeson <robert@synapsetech.co.uk> To: JongAm Park <joshua_park2006-applelist@yahoo.com> CC: installer-dev@lists.apple.com, mmille45@harris.com References: <48D14EA8.1000308@yahoo.com> <37D56A52-8B35-469B-989C-9FA6F4E80D19@synapsetech.co.uk> <48D16AB9.9000004@yahoo.com> I tried building two installers, one is with "Allow Relocation" turned on, and the other is with the option turned off. I doesn't seem to make difference though. The option is originally for allowing users move the installed files after installation. Probably it is because I successfully install the interested file previously. I suggested it because I've noticed that whenever I have that option selected, the installer will find the application in my build folder and overwrite it (which is exactly where Packagemaker fetches the app to place in the installer package from) rather than install the application in the standard folder that I have specified (/ Applications). Sorry it didn't work out. This email sent to site_archiver@lists.apple.com
