Does anybody know about a problem running apple packages on a iso 9660 volume ? I made my installer with PackageMaker on Panther, and it is working perfectly on the disk. But if I burn an iso CDRom (need to release a PC/MAC CDRom) then then installer won't work on Jaguar. Here is what I get in the log :
Not sure about this specific problem, but Apple repeatedly states that permissions do matter for files in the installer package. So I guess that for a plain ISO 9660 you indeed have to wrap the package into an image (or .tar.gz). Alternatively, you can try making a dual Mac/PC disk, with HFS and ISO/Joliet parts. Roxio Toast lets you prepare such disks very easily; it is even possible to have separate directories for Mac and PC, but store identical files only once to save space - google for details if your product is that large. - WBR, Alexey Proskuryakov _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list.
