The installer does update the progress bar during extraction, but there may be bugs with archives bigger than 4GB. Try splitting up the content if possible. Then it hangs out there for a good 5 minutes. The log says "Extracting files". So I assume this is it simply unarchiving the rather large Archive.pax.gz file. The problem is that most users are going to think the installer has frozen. In fact, I did myself. Is this normal that the progress bar doesn't get updated while unarchiving? I can't easily break this package into smaller ones. This email sent to bierman@apple.com This email sent to site_archiver@lists.apple.com
