Re: Packages Does Not Install Contents of .app
When folders or apps (which are folders) are dragged into Packages, they can't be expanded. Not sure why, it would be great to have this capability. I saw this happen in the past, figured it was due to the *.app permissions. After I correctly set the owner:group on the app, I pulled it into Packages and I made sure I left this checkbox unchecked. This way Packages can properly set owner:group. http://donmontalvo.com/installerdev/packages-do-not-keep-owner-and-group.jpg You can also select the app in Packages and set owner:group, permissions, etc., and trickle downward. Packages is a pretty awesome app, hoping to see template capability at some point in the future. :) Don Conor Schutzman wrote:
After adding the .app to the payload tab, richter click and select "expand fully". You shouldn't need to, but it's the only thing I can think of.

I’m trying to create a package using Packages.
I add the .app to the contents of my payload; however, the icon disappears and when it runs, the Contents folder (and everything in it) is not installed.
I feel like I’m missing something silly but can’t figure out what…
Any help is appreciated.
