I have one user that says he's using 10.4, but that the message in this requirements dictionary is being displayed and preventing him from installing. He even sent a screenshot. I asked him to confirm his version of the OS by selecting "About this Mac" from the Apple menu and he told me it said 10.4. I have no idea what to tell him. Is there anything wrong with the requirements dictionary below? I'm not sure what to tell him. AFAIk, the plist SpecType is ran against every Volume. So maybe the user has multiple partitions and the message is being displayed when he's trying to select a partition which does not have Tiger or later installed on it. Thanks for your response. I confirmed that the customer only has one volume. He even sent me a screenshot. I'm thinking of sending him a installer without the requirements dictionary. I'm afraid that having the requirement may prevent other users from installing and buying my software. Perhaps, I should remove the requirements dictionary from my installer entirely. Is it hurting more than helping? What do you think? I really wish that the PackageMaker application had a simple interface to specify at least the minimum OS version and that it worked reliably. The installer should be a developer's friend. It took a while to figure out how to add this requirements dictionary and the only thing it seems to have accomplished is to prevent potential customers from installing my demo software.
