I use PackageMaker 2.1, OS X 10.4.4 PPC IF I manually assign owner for /Library/StartupItems to be not system but me, Then installation going fine. IT SEEMS to me, problem is that in log below we can see ADMIN AUTH was done. But in PackageMaker I have specify ROOT AUTH. So it seems Admin cannot access ROOT folder. Logically?
