I install software packages during our imaging process. The post action script uses the command line installer using the following syntax installer -pkg <path to package>/package.pkg -target "$1" the $1 is a variable which defines the HD that is being imaged. I am booted from a netboot volume (NetRestore). Simple packages work well, and I can install several in a row with no issues. But as soon as I try to install a Meta-Package (or a Distribution with packages/meta-packages) the system bombs out. The meta-package works however if being installed manually using the GUI installer once booted from the HD. It seems however that the installer process WORKS on Intel netboots but not on PPC. Does anyone know if there is a known bug in installer to install meta-packages or distribution onto a remote volume using the command line installer? -Mike ------------------------------------------ Michael Perbix Lower Merion School District Telecommunications Specialist PH (610) 645-1964 Fax (610) 896-2019 _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list.
