Totally frustrated with PackageMaker 3.0 User-agent: Microsoft-Entourage/11.2.0.050811 Hi guys, In fact during few weeks I try switch our Valentina Server installer to new PackageMaker 3.0 = 3and I should say I almost have no hair on my head!!! I have spend totally may be 5 working days, and I cannot solve this simple task which have work in old PackageMaker. I always get some STRANGE ISSUE for built packages. * Sometimes permissions of files do not correspond to what I have specify in the CONTENTS tab panel. After close/open of .mpdoc permissions can differ from what I have specify 2 minutes ago. Okay, after second fix manually, it seems PM remember this correctly. * I have try and old way two packages linked by one metapackage. Full nightmare. I have specify to each package its install path. And just drag and drop them into metapackage. Wow, surprise. This installs packages right into ROOT. "Great. Very natural :-(" when I have try remove paths from sub-packages and specify them in top metapackage, I also did have odd things with permissions. Wow, I see that top metapackage also allow me specify permissions for files of sub-packages. And even worse -- it show permissions OTHER then I just only have specify for sub-package itself. Great wonder :-( * Sometimes NAME of packages stored in Receipts folder do not correspond to signature of package I specify. For example, I specify package ident: com.paradigmasoft.vserver_office_startupitems.pkg And for second com.paradigmasoft.vserver_office.pkg But into Receipts it go just as startupitems.pkg vserveroffice.pkg <<<< yes without underscore "_" How this can be??? I have check XML files, they contain MY names. Why into Receipts folder go this file names ??? May be it somehow go from my previous attempts? But where is stored this info to cleanup It then ? Thank you for any help you can provide. P.S.
